Burton
Burton is home to the Texas Cotton Gin Museum — the last operational cotton gin in America.

The Burton Farmers Gin has operated since 1914 and is powered by a massive 1925 Bessemer engine, recognized by the Smithsonian Institution and the National Register of Historic Places — a fascinating, hands-on look at the industry that once defined the region. History lovers can also visit the Burton Railroad Depot and Mt. Zion Cemetery, preserved by the Burton Heritage Society, or stop by Peeka Ranch to visit a herd of 100 alpacas.
