James and Jen dreamed of a place where people could slow down — wide-open skies, quiet mornings, room to breathe. It started with a fascination with monolithic domes. James brought a practical vision from his finance background; Jen brought the warmth of a mom who knows how to make a house feel like home. Together they imagined a boutique retreat where guests could unplug and enjoy the Texas countryside.
With the help of family, that dream became Country Dome Suites — eleven private domes tucked into the hills between Brenham and Bellville — each fully furnished, TV-free, and designed for connection and stillness: comfortable beds, full kitchens, starry nights.
For James and Jen this isn't just a business — it's an extension of their family's values: hospitality, simplicity, and love for the land. They hope every guest leaves relaxed, a little lighter, a little more at peace.

Part of that vision was finding the right place — and they found it in Kenney, Texas. Tucked just off Highway 36 between Brenham and Bellville, Country Dome Suites sits in a spot that's both in the country and easy to access.
